CCU Limit Despite Having Enough Credits (Free Plan)

Hi team,

I’m on the free plan and currently seeing the error: “You hit the CCU limit” when trying to connect to a room.

According to the usage panel, I’ve only used 983 credits (9%) out of 10,000, and I still have plenty left.

I know the free plan allows up to 50 CCU, but I don’t believe we’re hitting that live cap. Also some rooms works and others don’t.

  • Is there a way to check live CCU usage in real-time?

  • Do inactive/abandoned rooms still count toward CCU?

  • How can I clean up or release CCU if clients crash or disconnect unexpectedly?

Any insights or suggestions would be much appreciated.

It looks like you are reserving 30 CCU per room, which with a 50 CCU limit you can only have 1 room active. Rooms that are “open” even if there are no players connected count towards your CCU. Rooms with no connections time out after about a minute, which frees up the CCU.

My recommendation is to either change your CCU reservation size during development, or upgrade your plan to unlimited CCU.
