# Hosting my game on my own server

Hi, i have a ubuntu server and i want to self hosting with Coherence.  
i am confused how to start? i think i can build a Linux version but i don’t have any idea how to use that in Ubuntu server and lunch it there or how should i connect to that from my unity. is there any video or document to help me step by step?

Check out these docs: They detail how to start a local “self hosted” replication server: [Client-Hosting | Unity Multiplayer SDK Documentation | coherence](https://docs.coherence.io/coherence-sdk-for-unity/client-hosting#starting-a-local-replication-server)

From there you will need to find the IP of your VPS, then connect your client to that IP once your replication server is running.
